JACKSON -- Thanks to the generosity of Lucilla Henderson at
Brazos Mall and the
expertise of Joe Epps at SG&P, Tip and Jeri Masterson
successfully launched a new product
at this year’s National Hardware Show: Bigslider™ utility
mover. The Mastersons proudly
accepted
Popular Mechanics Editor’s Choice Award in
recognition of outstanding achievement
in new product design and innovation from Jim Meigs, PM’s
Editor-in-Chief. “If Bigslider
had been around 5,000 years ago, the wheel might have never
been invented,” quipped Meigs.
“We were very excited to receive the award, but we couldn’t
have done it without Epps at
SG&P who made our prototypes and initial production run.
Plus, Henderson let us film
people at the mall trying Bigslider™ for the first time.
That’s who you see in our second
online movie, along with Joe Moss and Vicki Smith, both from
Lake Jackson, who generously
talked on film about their experiences. Nikki Brehm helped
us man the booth the entire
time, and if it were not for John Shoemaker of CreteSheet,
we wouldn’t have known about
the show! We are so grateful to everyone,” said Masterson.
Bigslider™
helps move heavy and bulky items without lifting.
“Women like me who are working
alone -- or men with strained backs -- really appreciate it.
In fact, a woman told me just
this week that she got her husband to the car for a trip to
the emergency room by using
Bigslider™.” said Masterson. Bigslider™’s goals are to reduce
effort, increase productivity,
and empower an aging workforce to continue contributing.
